My name is Eugene Marais and I was born in a little town called Klerksdorp in the Northwestern province of South Africa.

I enjoy photography, reading, sport and I am an avid 4 x 4 enthusiast. Next to my darling wife Delouise, my kids and my dogs, JOE [Just One Earth] my 4 x 4 Pajero takes up most of my spare time.

My home language is Afrikaans but in South Africa we have 11 official languages - multilinguism comes natural to us.

I live in the capital of South Africa - Johannesburg and just love Africa and venturing/exploring abroad.

My motto in life is "Live and let live" and to make the most of this life.
